Bombardier Global 6500

The long-range business jet built for speed, comfort, and intercontinental reach.

Overview

Bombardier Canada 2018–Present $56 million (2018)

The Bombardier Global 6500 is a long-range business jet introduced as an evolution of the earlier Global 6000. Entering service in 2019, it incorporates new engines and a redesigned cabin. The aircraft serves corporate, private, and government operators requiring extended range and high cruise speeds.

Operational Context

Bombardier Global 6500 — long-range large-cabin business jet

The Global 6500 first flew in 2018 and entered service in 2019. It builds on the Global 6000 airframe while integrating updated avionics and aerodynamic refinements. The aircraft retains the swept wing and large-cabin layout that define Bombardier’s long-range Global series.

Powered by two Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 turbofan engines producing approximately 15,125 pounds of thrust (67.3 kN) each, the Global 6500 cruises at up to Mach 0.90, approximately 516 knots (956 km/h). Maximum takeoff weight exceeds 99,500 pounds (45,130 kg). Range exceeds 6,600 nautical miles (12,220 km) depending on payload and cruise speed.

The Global 6500 offers improved performance and cabin comfort compared with its predecessor. It supports nonstop intercontinental missions between major business centers. The aircraft remains an important part of Bombardier’s large-cabin portfolio.
