Operational Context

Boeing 777 Freighter — long-range widebody cargo aircraft

The 777F first flew in 2008 and entered service in 2009. It is based on the 777-200LR airframe with structural modifications for freight operations. The aircraft includes a large side cargo door and reinforced main deck floor.

Powered by two General Electric GE90 turbofan engines producing approximately 110,000 pounds of thrust (489 kN) each, the 777F cruises at around 490 knots (905 km/h). Maximum takeoff weight exceeds 760,000 pounds (347,000 kg). The aircraft can carry substantial palletized cargo over intercontinental distances.

The 777 Freighter has become one of the most successful modern cargo aircraft. Its range and efficiency have made it a mainstay of global logistics networks. Production continues to meet sustained cargo demand.
