Operational Context

Gulfstream G200 — super-midsize business jet

The G200 first flew in 1997 and entered service in 1999. It featured a swept-wing design and stand-up cabin. The aircraft expanded Gulfstream’s reach below its large-cabin models.

Two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306 turbofan engines producing approximately 6,040 pounds of thrust (26.9 kN) each power the jet. Cruise speed approaches Mach 0.80. Maximum takeoff weight exceeds 35,000 pounds (15,876 kg), with range near 3,400 nautical miles (6,297 km).

The G200 became popular among corporate operators seeking super-midsize capability. It was eventually succeeded by the G280. The model remains active in global business aviation fleets.
