Operational Context

Dassault Falcon 50EX — long-range trijet business jet

The 50EX first flew in 1996 and entered service in 1997. It retained the three-engine configuration and swept-wing design of its predecessor. Systems updates enhanced operational capability and reliability.

Three Honeywell TFE731 engines producing approximately 3,700 pounds of thrust (16.5 kN) each power the jet. Cruise speed approaches Mach 0.80. Maximum takeoff weight exceeds 40,000 pounds (18,144 kg), with range near 3,000 nautical miles (5,556 km).

The Falcon 50EX supported intercontinental travel with added efficiency. Production ended as newer Falcon models entered service. The aircraft remains respected for its range and flexibility.
