The Legacy 450 first flew in 2013 and entered service in 2015. It features fly-by-wire controls and a modern cockpit layout. The aircraft was designed for transcontinental range with efficient performance.

Powered by two Honeywell HTF7500E turbofan engines producing approximately 6,500 pounds of thrust (28.9 kN) each, the Legacy 450 cruises at around Mach 0.83, approximately 476 knots (882 km/h). Maximum takeoff weight exceeds 36,000 pounds (16,329 kg). The cabin seats seven to nine passengers.

The Legacy 450 strengthened Embraer’s position in the super-midsize segment. It later evolved into the Praetor 500. The aircraft remains valued for advanced flight controls and comfort.
