Operational Context

Gulfstream G150 — midsize business jet

The G150 first flew in 2005 and entered service in 2006. It featured a redesigned cabin and aerodynamic improvements over its predecessor. Gulfstream positioned it for U.S. transcontinental routes.

Two Honeywell TFE731 turbofan engines producing approximately 4,420 pounds of thrust (19.7 kN) each power the jet. Cruise speed approaches Mach 0.85. Maximum takeoff weight exceeds 26,000 pounds (11,793 kg), with range around 3,000 nautical miles (5,556 km).

The G150 achieved moderate sales before being replaced by the G280. It provided Gulfstream with a competitive midsize offering during its production run. Many aircraft remain active in corporate fleets.
