Operational Context

Cessna Citation Latitude — midsize twin-engine business jet

The Citation Latitude first flew in 2014 and entered service in 2015. Textron Aviation developed the aircraft to bridge the gap between smaller Citation models and larger midsize jets. Its clean-sheet fuselage design provides a flat-floor, stand-up cabin while retaining the reliability associated with the Citation series.

Two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306D turbofan engines producing approximately 5,900 pounds of thrust (26 kN) each power the aircraft. Cruise speed approaches 446 knots (826 km/h). Maximum takeoff weight exceeds 30,000 pounds (13,608 kg), with range near 2,700 nautical miles (5,000 km).

The Latitude has become a popular choice for corporate flight departments and charter operators. Its combination of cabin space, operating efficiency, and advanced Garmin avionics contributes to strong demand. The aircraft remains in production as a central model within the Citation lineup.
