Origins

Cirrus was founded in 1984 by brothers Alan and Dale Klapmeier in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Originally building kit airplanes, the company quickly moved toward developing fully certified composite aircraft, aiming to modernize personal flying with sleek designs and advanced safety features.

Rise and Expansion

The launch of the SR20 in 1999 marked Cirrus’s entry into mainstream general aviation, followed by the highly successful SR22. 3. Launch of the Vision Jet
