About DJI Mini SE
First off, what is the difference between the Mini and the Mini SE? Well, the Mini SE basically combines the internals of the original Mini with the externals of the new Mini 2. In other words, the Mini SE is a facelifted Mini. SE stands for either Second Edition, or Standard Edition, depending on who you ask.
In order for the Mini 2 to fly, the original Mini first had to walk. DJI set out to create a tiny drone that was small enough to avoid registration but still powerful enough to shoot incredible photos and videos.
The original Mini already brought some serious photo and video bonafides to the table, with its 12-megapixel camera, large CMOS sensor, and ability to shoot in 2.7K, or FHD at 60fps. The main drawback of the original was it had severe difficulty navigating the skies on a breezy day. The original only offered level 3 wind resistance, while the Mini SE bumps it up to level 5 wind resistance.
With quality components and a more wind-resistant design, the DJI Mini SE is still one of the most feature-rich and value-packed drones on the market, even with newer drones like the Mini 2 shouldering their way into the mix.

How are the Mini 2 and Mini SE Different?
These two drones have many striking similarities that make them a challenge to differentiate. But, there are six crucial areas where these two similar drones are pretty different:
