Everyone wants to stay germ-free when traveling, whether on a plane, at a hotel, or at a restaurant. Many people have a natural habit of carrying Lysol spray to disinfect surface areas. Planes are often a concern for germs, so can you bring Lysol spray on a plane?

Gel substances are allowed on planes but are considered under the liquid item category by the TSA. Any gel disinfectant like hand sanitizer cannot exceed 3.4 oz or 100 ml. It must also be placed in a clear, resealable quart-sized bag.
Disinfectant gels and liquid sprays are allowed in checked luggage even if they exceed 3.4 oz or 100 ml, and you can take as many as you want. There are no quantity restrictions for packing them in your checked baggage.
